Values
Harm Reduction
- By acknowledging that risk is part of life and interaction, as well as respecting everyone’s narratives and confidentiality.
- By not transferring harm from one place or person to another, for example by revenge or punishment.

Trauma-Informed
- Consider that everyone has more likely than not traumatic experiences. This includes the compounded impact of systemic oppression. Understand how this can cause traumatic lensing of our experiences, and shaping of our reactions & experiences. Unpacking this helps to understand people’s entry point in conflict, and uncovers potential pathways of growth & healing.
- Not allowing trauma to become an accepted excuse for furthering harm.
Nonbinary Approach
- Resisting binary thinking like black-white, good-bad, victim-perpetrator, male-female,…
- Embracing the spectrum of human complexity, interactions, all their shades, all the intentions and impacts, and how this all intersects.

Liberation
- Empowering people by acknowledging their experiences and intersectional identities, and offering agency through co-exploring choices within their strength & power.
- Examination of structural issues of oppression, and increasing equity by advocating for transformative change.
Accountability
- Support personal and organizational capacity building to engage in accountability and transformative work.
- Offering & receiving feedback as well as supporting courageous conversations.
